Dunkirk: brave Veuchelen

Dunkirk: brave Veuchelen

On Saturday the riders headed to Cassel in Four Days of Dunkirk (2.HC, 9-14/05), a stage won by Xandro Meurisse last year. Frederik Veuchelen was inspired and went into the offensive. Our experienced rider from Werchter was part of a 13 men breakaway the whole day. After a strong ride he had to let go in the final of the race. Veuchelen still managed to finish 27th 2 minutes behind winner Konovalovas. Frederik Backaert finished in the same group as 31st. Yoann Offredo suffered from headache and lost a lot of time. The unfortunate Guillaume Levarlet crashed and had to give up.
