Duinkerke - Regular Dupont sprints top 5 in opening stage

As predicted the opening stage of the Four Days of Dunkirk (2.HC, 08-13/05) ended in a bunch sprint. Three riders formed the early breakaway, but the peloton kept the control towards La Bassée. They were caught 12 kilometers from the finish. Wanty-Groupe Gobert was nicely grouped around sprinter Timothy Dupont. The team formed a train for our 30-year-old Belgian in the final. In the final sprint the Frenchman Sarreau was the fastest, Dupont finished in fifth place. For our sprinter already the seventh top-5 spot of his regular season.
